I don’t live in NYC, but what you can do is if you have friends who have really nice looking tattoos, ask them where they got theirs, and go check out the shops. You really should look for a very clean looking shop, with a lot of customers because that shows that they are good. Also, if you see someone on the streets of NYC, with a really good looking tattoo, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if you asked where they got it from. Just be sure to check out the shop before hand, and make sure it’s neat, clean, and everything they use is sterile.
