Question by : Can someone really change after a life of drugs and compulsiveness?
I didn’t know where else to post this so here it goes…I have a friend who is about to leave a christian run treatment center . The past 10 years of her life have run on compulsive behavior and drugs. She now tells me after 3 months that shes clean, free of her manipulative ways, has found god(reads the bible all the time), is ready to commit to a real relationship with trust and faith fullness and so on. I am afraid she might fall through the cracks again but my question is..can a christian way of life and influence really change someone that drastically?? in that short of time?? How often do these people relapse??

I really want to help her because she has already asked for my help. She knows that she’s got a problem, but she can’t help it anyway. She keeps on buying prescription drugs and gets high. I’m planning on looking for a treatment center for her because I think this is the only way I can help. I don’t know how to find those, though.

What are some of the bad things about LBI? We were planning to go up there for about 2-3 days and we don’t want anywhere too busy(where u can’t get a seat on the beach). We were thinking about Beach Haven, but I hear that it can be very crowded. We would like somewhere near a boardwalk, and a nice beach. Any ideas?
What other beaches are good for swimming in and going on the boardwalk?

SAFPF is not considered prison. It is considered to be a drug treatment program – an intermediate sanction but it is managed by the prison system.
It is a 1 year program.
